Dongfeng Commerical EV PH offers a full lineup of electric commercial vehicles

 

Looking to move your business but want to do it without carbon emissions and reduced maintenance costs? There’s a new EV player in the country and they are Dongfeng Commercial Electric Vehicle Philippines.Under the distributorship of Diamond Auto Group EV Corporation which has a strong foundation of more than 50 years in the automotive industry, Dongfeng Commercial EV PH is committed to bringing in sustainable transportation and business solutions in the form of their zero-emissions vehicles. They also plan to be a forerunner in the electrification of light commercial vehicles (LCVs) in the country.

Present during the official brand launch of Dongfeng Commercial EV PH are key figures and personnel. These include (L-R); Jay-Ar Dyogi – Head of Sales, Ivy Marie S. Sanchez – Finance & Admin Head, Monek A. Calimbahin – President, Ramil O. Mendoza – Technical Division Head, Cathy Ding – Dongfeng ZNA, and Paulo S. Hong – Aftersales Division Head.

A complete lineup of electric LCVs will be available from Dongfeng EV. The range starts with the Rich 6 EV pickup truck. Based on the Nissan Navara, this zero-emissions pickup puts out 163 PS and 420 Nm of torque. On a full charge, the dual-cab pickup can travel for an estimated 350 km. It also has a fully digital instrument cluster, a touchscreen infotainment, and a dial-type drive selector.

Next in the lineup is the EC36 passenger van. This humble people carrier can ferry a total of 8 passengers which is suitable as a shuttle van. It has an electric motor that puts out 82 PS plus 200 Nm of torque. Despite its small size, Dongfeng says it can cover around 300 km on a full charge.

For cargo delivery duties, there’s the EV30 Panel Van. Its electric motor puts out 94 PS with 230 Nm of torque and has a cargo box capacity of 5.6 cubic meters. It even has wide barn-style doors for easy loading and unloading of parcels.

A slightly smaller panel van is also available in the form of the EC35. It gets the same electric motor as the EC36 (82 PS with 200 Nm) and an estimated cruising range of about 300 km. It also has a cargo box capacity of 5.1 cubic meters.

Last but not least are the light-duty cab & chassis vehicles. First up is the EC31 which has a payload rating of 1,300 kg. Its electric motor puts out 82 PS with 200 Nm of torque and can cover around 290 km on a full charge.

Up next is the EV35 which slightly makes more power at 136 PS with 230 Nm of torque but has a marginally lower range at 280 km. It bounces back, however, with a higher payload capacity of 1,800 kg.

At the top of the cab & chassis range is the EV45. With a payload capacity of 2,200 kg, it is more than capable of hauling heavy cargo. This is made possible thanks to an electric motor that puts out 163 PS and 320 Nm of torque. It also has an impressive range of 350 km which is on par with the Rich 6 EV pickup.

Recharging Dongfeng’s commercial EVs can be done via a portable AC or DC charging system. The AC system is capable of delivering 3.3 kW and can be plugged into a 220V outlet. Meanwhile, the DC system is rated at 6.6 kW and can also be plugged into a 220V outlet.
